1. Meetups Are At Your Own Risk

The services provided by Get Out and Jam are intended solely to help musicians connect and collaborate. Any in-person meetings, jam sessions, rehearsals, gear trades, or events (collectively, "Meetups") arranged through this platform are voluntary and undertaken entirely at your own risk.

We do not screen, background-check, or verify the identity of our users. You are solely responsible for exercising caution, using common sense, and taking appropriate safety precautions when meeting anyone in person.

2. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Get Out and Jam, its founders, employees, and affiliates shall not be held responsible or liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, losses, or injuries resulting from your use of the platform or your participation in any Meetups. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Personal Injury or Property Damage: Any physical harm, injury, or damage to personal property (including, but not limited to, musical instruments, amplifiers, and audio gear) sustained during a Meetup.
  • Theft or Loss: The loss, theft, or unauthorized retention of gear, equipment, or personal belongings during interactions with other users.
  • Financial Disputes: Any disagreements arising from the renting of rehearsal spaces, gig pay splits, or gear sales arranged through the site.

3. Safety Recommendations

For your personal safety and the security of your equipment, we strongly recommend that you:

  • Meet in public, well-lit places for initial introductions (e.g., a local music store, coffee shop, or public rehearsal studio).
  • Tell a friend or family member where you are going, who you are meeting, and when you expect to return.
  • Never leave your instruments or expensive gear unattended with individuals you do not know well.

By using Get Out and Jam, you acknowledge that you have read this disclaimer, understand it, and agree to release Get Out and Jam from any and all liability related to user-organized Meetups.
